April ArtSnacks!: Koh-I-Noor Tri-tone colored pencil in Forest; Windsor & Newton Vine Charcoal Soft; Liquitex Soft Body Acrylic Paint in Ultramarine Blue; Snap Series Brush by Princeton Artist Bursh Co. (#1 Round).
I’m very pleased  especially with the Liquitex paint and the paintbrush. I’ve been collecting this paint in the clearance bin at A. C. Moore for the last few weeks and didn’t have this color. The brush is very fine.
I’m less excited about the tri-tone pencil and the vine charcoal but I may take that as a challenge.

It never has.

Will we ever learn this? We must if we hope to evolve to better people.

i really admire the design for these stairs and how they incorporate a wheelchair access ramp. in a world were barrier free design is essential to living a full and happy life, its amazing to see landscape architect Cornelia Oberlander has taken literal steps to design stairs AROUND a ramp, instead of the other way around.

This is beautiful.

Form AND function excuse me while I die

I saw steps like this down near Changwon.  it might even be these ones.

While this is a striking design, I don’t think it could be built in the US since ADA Ramp Guidelines requires handrails on ramps. It’s just not safe.

Smithsonian Brings Google Glass to the Museum

I was able to experience David Datuna’s “Portrait of American” at the National Portrait Gallery and it’s a terrific piece. I haven’t been a huge fan of Google Glass but now that I’ve used it I can truly appreciate it’s capabilities through this artwork. However, I must say that the artwork stands on it’s own without the Google Glass - it’s a compelling construction full of thought provoking images.

Get me back on the job NOW!

Speaker  and the GOP should face the fact that  is the law. Stop holding the government hostage because you don’t like the law. They need to pass the Budget CR & get government workers back on the job before the economy starts to tank yet again!
